Prey Can't Run Far

Leaving the bird to do whatever business he did whenever he was alone, Alyssum set off that afternoon on top of Antebellum and strode off into the woods without Macbeth that day. She thought this was good for her as well; while the magpie had his alone time, the woman could work on her tracking skills. While she was not terrible at finding prey, having another pair of eyes to aid her had made her use of her abilities limited, and frankly, rusty. But, if she was going to help Casa in any way, working on her already built upon skills were for the best.

She stopped the mare with a gentle nudge of her heels as she scent something fresh, though faint--it was the blood of game. The woman slipped off of the horse, instructing her to go back to the stables or fields, wherever she wanted to go with a few huffs of her language, and began to follow the trail. She noticed that at one point, she scented another creature, a pack mate. In fact, it was someone she knew. With a grin upon her narrow face, she quickened her graceful pace, though altogether remaining silent in case the prey was near.

It was soon she was upon Adelle, the girl in her large secui form. Again, Alyssum was stumped to believe that the giant canine before her was even younger than she, but did not dwell upon it longer as she slipped by her side after giving a quiet greeting, crouching low to the ground with her bow unsheathed.

"How is the reading going?" she asked casually with a mocking smile on her muzzle. But, a moment later she became a bit more serious as she continued to say, "Do you know how far away it is?"

(301) Optime form. Equipped with bow and arrow.
