Adelle raised her head as a strange call echoed through the woods. She didn't recognize it. Realizing it was the signal her tail beat the air behind her. Moving carefully Adelle adjusted so that she was ready to pounce on the unsuspecting deer. Gradually she fell still, muscles tensed. The deer wouldn't realize what had happened. Adelle didn't see Aly leap out, but the deer turned towards her anyways. The scent of fresh blood rang in the air, exciting the dog even further as the deer pounded towards her. She took in the view of the arrow, a clean slice through the flesh. So that's how she'd done it.

Without making a sound Adelle pushed herself up. The movement was harder to execute than it looked. All two hundred pounds of muscle rose off the ground, fangs flashing in the air for a moment before it closed with a crunch around the deer's face. It wasn't able to stop from hitting the ground, nasal passages completely destroyed. The deer wasn't dead yet, though it would be soon from such a deadly injury. It thrashed wildly on the ground, legs kicking out. Adelle released the deer, the mangled skull shaking, eyes still intact. Moving around to the side Adelle set her teeth into the flesh there, and began to tear into it to quicken it's death.
