Letting myself look the other way

Word Count :: 367 Forward Dated - 11th July, Vague starter is vague; she uses the two birds to seek stuff out, although they typically only find useless stuff. Like twigs ¬.¬

Scuttling around her paws Turnip and Jason ran around with some form of pure, innocent excitement she had only witnessed in the pair of pheasants whom seemed to take joy in the smallest of things, even going on a stroll outside of pack lands triggered joy within the small birds, even after the golden woman had made it clear that they were not there to play around but to locate some more herbs for her work and hobbies, as well as locating some food that Cabbage and Pumpkin may eat, the young tiger quolls were proving to be picky eaters and just as strange and temperamental as the rest of the woman's small family.

The two young ones had been left behind, secure in a makeshift pen within her house which had been locked up as well; not that she expected them to run away or anything like that, the two of them had already proven themselves too lazy to achieve such feats as that. No, they were making a habit of chewing on just about anything they came across and for the safety of her house she had confined them. “Turnip, Jason, can you find me some berries?” she asked aloud, pausing when she noted her use of high speech and swapped to low, making the command simple and to the point to convey her message as best she could.

Like this woman and birds traipsed outside of the pack lands, picking up anything of interest as they went along, gradually drifting further and further away from the security of the borders and drawing nearer to the shore. Seemingly out of nowhere a camp of foreigners appeared before her, still a distant away and any particulars still too far out for any finer details to be seen. Pausing, her feet anchored her to the spot as she reached up and grabbed the leather strap of her bag with her left palm, ushering the two birds close to her as ocean eyes stared curiously towards the scene before her.

Only a few days ago she had visited this same spot and these canines had not been there, for she wouldn't off missed such an obvious gathering... probably.
