Willam had no idea what to do to permanently stave off the biting flies but she was doing the best that she could for now. Châtiment had been faithful to her when he had no need to be so of course she felt compelled to help him out and try to ease his suffering. It was probably an odd sight to any that knew her and knew that one could never be truly thankful unless they have suffered first. One could never know pleasure if they have never before felt pain. Of course that was a belief for herself and one that she adhered to strictly but didn't believe that everyone else must suffer as she does daily.
The female looked away from her equine companion as a voice called out towards. "I am, yes. Willam la Chemin, formerly of la Chemin." She found herself responding easily enough. It was the same greeting that she had been giving lately. It was the same one that she would continue to give until she met everyone that lived here. At least, that is how she guessed that it would end up going. She didn't have any idea how many more there were to meet. Even then that might change as more came or left. Then again there might be those who didn't like to be pleased to ever be bothered in the slightest. Willam knew nothing about the inhabitants of this place except that most were heathens, or so she had been told.
At least Willam was out and meeting others now. That was something at least. Of course she hadn't exactly put in the effort to actively meet others just yet. How could she when she was still learning how to socialize without bringing religion into the picture? Those were what her previous conversations back home had centered around and well, those here didn't do things the way she was used to. Still Willam knew that she had to make an effort at some point. She couldn't remain a stranger forever.
