Joining with her NPC Gideon Stormbringer :3

Their days of travelling seemed to have melted all together in her mind. They'd been travelling (by ship or by horse and wagon) for around two months now. It had been incredibly difficult to find anyone who was going west over to what some had referred to as "That uncivilized chunk of land o'er the sea", and when they had it hadn't landed them anywhere near Nova Scotia. And so the two began travelling by horse and wagon, Wretch atop a coal-black horse of the Danish Warmblood variety that had been gifted to her and Gideon when they'd stated their intentions to leave. Gideon rode in the wagon behind, his injuries having prevented him from being able to walk or run alongside the horse that they'd been provided. He walked with a limp, and long distances strained the muscles in his legs and made him quite sore these days.

It had been a long time since she had seen this place, but Wretch still remembered bits and pieces of it. She had gone back to where Ichika had once been and had been shocked to discover that it was no longer there. Nothing left but old, stale scents and a few loners picking over what remained of the skeletal cities that she had lived in as a pup with Saul, Gideon, Nayru, and Gideon's son and daughter. Gideon had told her of a canine who'd left before them to find Saul and the rest of the family in 'Souls...had she managed to figure out where they were? Or had she come across this scene and then moved on without having located them?

They left Ichika's old land and headed due west. The pair skirted around another pack that smelled quite odd to their noses (and not at all like Saul or anyone recognizable to them) and stopped for the night a few miles away from that pack. Once morning struck, they were off again. The wagon served as a covered sleeping place, protecting them from the elements and allowing some semblance of security. They'd nearly been raided twice now, but Gideon and Wretch had managed to scare the bandits off both times using a slingshot and long spear that they carried with them for protection.

Wretch bit nervously at her claws as they approached another pack territory. This one smelled quite different than anything they had come across thus far...a mixture of both familiar and unfamiliar scents. She turned back, coughing for a moment before she could get any words out. Gideon. I think we're close. The pair stopped at a respectful distance, and Wretch dismounted from Tyr and came around to help her uncle out of the wagon. He stumbled momentarily before getting his footage again. It was obvious the the rode had worn the two out; their fur was unkept and dusty, their expressions grim and quiet as they moved to unhitch Tyr so that he could graze while they waited.

The short hybrid girl scratched at one of her ears for a moment before choosing to make the call. Her howl wasn't as much of a howl as it was a series of long yips and barks, her own unique style. Afterward she sat down next to the tree they had parked their wagon beneath, trying to relax. There were a few things about her that had changed since she had been in Nova Scotia last. She had been mistreated by the Dawnrunners and it showed in the new scars that she carried along her back and across the corner of her right eye. She'd been beaten badly, fur still missing in a few spots where it had refused to grow back over the gashes that had been made in her back. And then there were her injuries from the battle, a rip in her left ear and broken ribs that had made the tilt of the boat and jostle of the horse's gait nearly unbearable at times. They were supposedly healed, but still ached fairly often when she was jostled or moved a certain way. Her blue eyes still looked the same as ever, though, clear and as bright as the cloud-swept sky above. Saul would recognize her. He had to, right?
