massive amount of PPing here, but I just wanted to finish this up again and archive it!

Saul Chibi is by Requiem!

While there was certainly a matter of fact way with which Wretch agreed with his own assessment, Saul couldn't quite help the glow of pride he felt for his almost daughter. She might not be related to him by blood but he'd been there for her through her life. If there was one thing the male regretted more than anything it had been leaving her alone in Ichika. Gideon had gone and Siku had left of her own accord, but he'd been unable to really let either of them go. His wanderings had meant Wretch's abandonment in Ichika and by the time he'd returned home, he'd missed his daughters departure by just a few days. He thought of everything they didn't know about, his mateship to Lilin, how they'd founded Vinátta. The glaringly obvious one was the fact that Gideon didn't know he was an Uncle, Wretch didn't know she had a step brother of sorts. He thought about Temeraire now, on the cusp of breaking free from everything that had ever tied him down. With a sigh, he turned back to see Wretch and Gideon preparing the dark draft horse, attaching him to the wagon before Wretch swung up and settled onto the horses back.

Gideon's comment had been taken with a soft snort and a shake of the Virdings head- they'd never been able to keep out of trouble, either of them. Well, perhaps with the protection of a strong pack will keep you both out of trouble? He questioned, looking between the pair as Wretch turned to Ezra and requested the male accompany them back to Jordheim. He gave his friend an encouraging smile and a nod, before Wretch's reply and he was shocked to hear that she'd been prey to the Dawnrunners. Miskunn warned us about their plans... I didn't think you'd be pulled into it.... He confessed, before looking across to Gideon, gratitude clear on his face. Thank you for rescuing her. He spoke quietly, clapping his brother softly on the shoulder as they turned back towards Vinátta and towards Jordheim. Their journey was filled with small bits of conversation- Wretch filled him in on what had happened and he briefly wondered why this wasn't mentioned when Miskunn had first found them back in Amherst.

As they approached Jordheim, Saul grew a little nervous as to what they would think about his mateship to Lilin- he wasn't certain they would know of their relation to one another. Ducking into the house, Saul returned moments later with two packages. Handing one to Wretch and the other to Gideon, he allowed a peaceful smile to wash over his lips. Both contained a bottle of wine, a hunting knife, a dagger and the customary Frithr necklace. Where Wretch's held a fox pelt and a few rabbit pelts, Gideon's held an elk pelt as well as the deer skin that held both bundles together. Welcome to Vinátta, you're welcome to choose a residence in Jordheim, or anywhere in Vinátta is yours to stay in. He said, giving both a smile before allowing them to wander away to explore their new home.
