With the meeting he shared with Revena still fresh in his mind, Jaden approached the boarders of Inferni. He hoped this would be another day of meeting new faces and creating new relations. It would be the traveling Nomad’s third attempt and it was beginning to feel like a routine. But, unlike the other meetings, this pack was not wolf blooded. These boarders were filled with weak blooded coyote breeds and hybrids. Usually these pests were something Jaden found easily irritating. If it were only himself he were representing he might have walked right by Inferni just like he had Salsola. But it wasn’t just he that his actions and words now represented. A pack would earn a name among these dirty bloods today and that all road on him and X’ies.

So the alpha would try for peace. He approached on two legs this time with a bow and quiver of arrows on his back. Trying often wasn’t enough and without the blades he missed carrying, he needed some reassurance in case things got ugly. It wouldn’t be his tongue this time. X’ies had been briefed, or reminded if he already understood, about his alpha’s feelings on coyotes. If things grew tense or a coyote grew mouthy, the obsidian man had asked his fellow diplomat to take over the conversation. He would hold his tongue to the best of his ability.

When he found the border with his companion there was no reason to pause. He took a breath and let out a call he hoped to be answered. Then he sat stood with arms crossed and watched the trees ahead of him for movement he knew would come.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.
