It was simply the way that Willam had been raised and the only thing that she knew. It wasn't like la Chemin was a large group. And well now, it didn't even exactly exist anymore. There might still be others that had once belong ed to la Chemin still about but the group itself had been destroyed along with that land that was called home. Those that could had fled and were now doing their own thing. It saddened Willam to think that she would never again return to la Chemin but she had to move forward with her life and not let it get her down.

"It was. But it was also home." It had been where she had been born. Ones birthplace tended to always hold a special place on one's heart, especially if that was also the place where one hadended up spending most of their life as well. And well, Willam had had a friend in la Chemin. It was something that she hadn't exactly developed in Inferni yet. She had friendly encounters with all that she had met but there wasn't one that she would venture to call a friend. Actually her only friend ever had been in la Chemin but now she had no idea what had happened to him.

She gave up a smile and a nod of her head. "I am. It is the only place that I have ever known. Everyone born there was given the surname of la Chemin to show unity and belonging. It made all of us family despite differing blood lines. It was so much easier to talk to the members of la Chemin since we shared the same beliefs and schedule. We all knew what we had to do. What was right and what was wrong was spelled out, as well as the punishments for each wrong doing. Here it seems like you have to just take a guess and hope you get it right. I think it is the meals I miss the most. Everyone was seen once a day at least and we sat and talked together, sharing what things we were thankful for as well as the goings on with everyone." Everyone's daily tasks were known. Just as there were no secret mateships as those where chosen by the leadership and everyone in la Chemin was invited to join in the ceremony. Births were another joyous occasion that they all shared together. There weren't secrets in la Chemin and she had liked that. Everything was open and laid out as public knowledge. It was so different from Inferni. Here Willam had no idea who everyone was or what their ranks were. She didn't know if there were any mates or who Helote's children belonged to or any of that. These were things that she would never have had to wonder about while in la Chemin. In Inferni she fretted over every little thing that she said or did since she didn't what what could be seen as wrong whereas in la Chemin she knew the exact guidelines that she had to follow.
