The female lay in wait as her hunting partner for the day took the rock that she had gripped when they first encountered each other. Slowly, Sepirah edged her way across the field where the prey lie. She inched away until she was opposite of where Sonje was, directly across from the prey, waiting for her to make her move.
The plan was quite clever, relying on the prey animals' fear of confrontation to capture it. And sure enough, as soon as Sonje threw the rock at the deer and began to run towards it, Sepirah braced herself. The rest of the deer fled in different directions, the scent of wolf and coyote permeating the area.
As soon as the deer began to run towards her, she tensed, unsheathing her claws from her hands and feet in preparation. Narrowing her eyes, she leapt at the deer, whose eyes widened in terror as it realized its fate. Mounting the prey on its pack, she quickly snapped at its neck, severing its large veins and crushing its throat, causing the deer to collapse on the ground.
