Pan is already there, waiting for take off and being a creep

THE MOON IS FULL AGAIN

The midnight man hadn’t packed anything of his to bring to Freetown for possible trade. He didn’t own much in the first place, having moved back and forth between Freetown and Salsola. He had made his first selfish choice in life though, and the remaining equipment and items he had not brought home with him from Freetown when he had come back would be gathered up and sold. And that would be the end of his blacksmith career, short as it was. Shame remained a prominent feeling within his insides, but he felt elevated and right. A slave with better skills seemed to have been found anyway, so they wouldn’t need his mediocrity.

He had been only happy to oblige when his sibling and superior had requested him to drive the wagon. It would be either that or possibly walk. Black was large and strong, but… no longer suited to carry the D’Angelo’s immerse weight. It was beyond time to acquire a new horse. Perhaps it would be possible to purchase one if traded off all his belongings, but a horse that could handle his size and weight would have to be of the right breed and quality. It was likely to become too expensive. He supposed he’d have to stick with wagon duty for quite some time. So much time and effort had been lost in his time as a blacksmith apprentice. Too much time and effort…

He sat immovable as his dearest sister went over the items again and again to ensure that everything was packed and ready. Although they no longer had the close relationship they had when they were mere puppies, there was a connection that made her remain larger than life in his eyes. Whether the feeling was mutual did not concern him at all. He would be home for good now, and would not allow himself to drift further apart from his family. Silvery eyes followed the cloaked woman without shame, though he’d be quick to lower his eyes if she was to throw a sharp glare in his direction. In the eye of the public, she was the Queen of Thorns.
