Lifting her head at the bark Terra opened her eyes. Blinking a couple times she glanced down to find Ananse in the process of squishing his brother. Terra separated them again and turned her head, eyes adjusting to the bright light outside the dim den. It was Skoll's voice, and she was happy to hear that her friend was nearby. Her curved body remained where it was, knowing that the instant she moved they would both escape. It was a good thing the pack was helping to feed her. Terra couldn't leave them alone.
Her tail wagged, letting out a bright yip as Skoll slowed down. He was in the open and as harmless as a nearly grown wolf could be. Skoll! It's good to see you. I've been stuck here for ages. Well, only a couple weeks, but it felt like a long time. Terra had left for short trips to the stream and the like, and while her instincts were alive and well, Terra was eager for when they would be old enough to start moving around.
