The coal king had no problem putting aside his pride and his dominant nature in order to admit he was very, very happy that Taliesin was there and did not judge the leaders for their situation. He had been so worried all this time that no one would welcome the pups into the family but his brothers teasing and relaxed nature reassured him. He would have blamed Aro’s relaxed nature on genetics if Tal was not technically blood. Immediately after placing the cool cloth onto Skye’s forehead things began to escalate and the white male’s voice bringing him to attention. Catch the pups? Shaking his head no instantly he planted his feet firmly on the floor, he wasn’t going to watch from that angel no way no how. He was a fighter, a protector. He could handle bleeding wounds and the heat of battle but he was no healer, and birthings were an entirely different story.

A yelp turned his head back to the cream leader’s face, clearly in a lot of pain but as her eyes opened and announced that the first pup had arrived the knight quickly shifted ever so slightly towards Taliesin to watch him check over the pup and cleaned it, wrapping its small body in a towel. A girl. Large dark hands reached out to meet white as the father took the towel tenderly, bringing it to his chest. He would not have much time to look over his new daughter before the next would arrive but he took this moment. She looked strong, certainly healthy and breathing. Her coat was the beautiful cream of her mother’s coat but faded into dark limbs. “She’s gorgeous Skye.” He cooed in amazement, all but forgetting the laborious actions of the female he spoke to.
