The bit of dried meat that Temo had retrieved had not gone bad and although dried meat was not as good as fresh killed, the bit that was currently being masticated in his mouth did not taste good to him. On top of that, as the juices seeped down his throat, his stomach felt like it was unsure on how to take the idea of food. His gut seemed to churn some as if it was not sure that when the food is finally sent down if it should keep it or send it right back up. He sat there with his mouth chewing like a cow with cud as he contemplated if he should take the chance and swallow.
His mouth paused in it's chewing when he heard a voice speak to him. For a moment he thought the dreams had returned but the odd bit was the voice wanted him to take a bath. He wanted to ask why but there was something in his mouth and he had to swallow it out of the way to speak. His head turned to address the voice and when his daughter came into view with an expectant look in her eyes, the memories of her visit came back to him.
Once again he looked at the dust and blood in his fur and thought maybe a bath might help. As he stood up and took a step, his body began to overbalance and he grabbed the back of the chair. He swayed a little, The trek to the creek might take a while, he said thinking that he would go out to the creek like always not realizing that Dalgina had brought the creek to Temo.
