Once twice or so had he been back by these shores after his banishment – if he excluded official pack business trips, that was. Now he was back, for no true reason other than giving into sweet nostalgia for only a moment. Both he and his love had once called the clan lands their home. Now none of them ever would. Both had settled together somewhere else, but not too far from the true home of Lykois.

Ezekiel’s scent did not immediately jump to burn his sensitive nostrils as he approached the well-marked borders, but he knew not of the change in leadership here as of yet. The blonde was uncertain if the clan would attack on sight or not, but he doubted it. Much time had passed since he committed his crime, and it seemed the cooperation between the two hybrid groups had formed a positive relationship, albeit touchy. None of them trusted each other, but Inferni and Salsola were extremely suspicious and untrusting of nature, so it was probably not possible anyway.

Although he’d found that he much preferred his lupus form while travelling outside Salsola, he had decided to remain in his optime.

Eventually, in the vast distance, he saw another creature by the borders. He was not surprised, for the clan was effectively keeping an eye on the borders. Little had changed. The approaching female was dark and made exotic by her jackal blood. He had known this woman, once.
