If You're Looking for Jesus,Then Get on Your Knees

The meeting had not gone over well, but of course that could have been expected. Vigilante had not known how the pack would react to the news, but he should have realized that they would not react well unless he had been the one to announce the change. It didn't matter much, really—the meeting was over and nothing was different, not for him. His life was just as miserable as it had been the day before, except now he had a competent Constable to pick up his slack as he moved about miserably.

He hated himself for staying in the house all day, so he wasted time patrolling, his massive secui body low to the ground. It was difficult not to ignore everyone that he saw, but he knew that was not something he could do. He had to pretend still, to care about his duties as King. The only thing that truly mattered to him was the failing health of his mate.

He hardly took in the sights around the pack, his scouting only half worth it in the first place. He only noticed Mars then because he eyeballed the stage warily, thinking back to the day before. Jade eyes studied the strange male stoically, returned to the Court after quite some time. Vigilante had never known what to make of him.
