Vesper spent quite a bit of time traveling outside of her territory; her nature as a scout influenced her to remain vigilant of other packs and goings-on in the area, especially with the two newest factions laying their borders in the north. She also was hopeful of running into someone she knew, such as her friends from the former peaceful mountain pack—but these hopes remained empty as the sun traveled across the sky and she knew she’d have to make the journey back to Inferni soon.

The coywolf paused as the wind shifted, bringing with it the taste of salt as she licked her nose. She’d never been terribly fond of the ocean, only because she didn’t make a point of beach-going like some other luperci, but Nova Scotia was surrounded on almost all sides with it. She grimaced lightly and let her paws take her back toward the coast; she might find a fish that washed up on shore, or a piece of driftwood to gnaw on. She was opportunistic from her seasons as a loner, and living for a year in this land didn’t change that.

The promising scent of a rotting fish drew her closer to the water, but with it came the musky odor of a lone wolf female. She was about to shrug and turn away again when she stopped to sniff once more, her ear tilting forward with keen interest. There was a subtle nuance in the loner’s odor that reminded her of Kiara, and she knew what that meant; another untainted canine had found its way to the land of luperci.

Vesper made up her mind quickly, loping down the beach with a coyote’s distinct gait, though there was a wolfish strength in her body as she finally made it to the loner: a thickly-built creature with a reddish coat. Not sure how best to greet the non-luperci, she let her tail drop and simply let out a woof in greeting.
