Salty Air and Wishful Thinking
#10
The wolf's threats were intimidating, and ruthless, but she ignored them. The white wolf next to her brought great proposition. Her family could be here, right under her nose, and she was willing to fight for them, of course it wouldn't be easy with this difficult guy, but he was first of many. But, this was going to get ugly. She could feel the fear growing in her bones, seething up to the surface. Since she had been young, she had always been taught to run. First, you would get what you want, then run, run for your life. And that was what she planned to do now, too. She felt a warm, firm comforting paw on her arm. She was on her side, and she could trust her entirely. Jordyn passed the female beside her a look, preparing her that she would be making a break for it. Then, Jordyn took the female's other paw and ran, while breaking into a cold sweat, at the thought of the baneful wolf being in pursuit behind them. She started slower at first, waiting for her companion to catch up, then going into full pace. It was at this time that she realized that she had never gotten her new friend's name.
