Adelle had just been heading down, spear and sword in her grasp. It was time for her to switch weapons and train with them. Her favorite was still hand to hand, using brute force to overwhelm her opponents, but she understood the importance of using them. Entering the sparring ring she glanced up, watching a newcomer to the pack strike again and again against the dummy. His movements were fierce, careful control through it. She didn't expect less, knowing how important being able to defend oneself was in this pack. Even Hadley, a canine who couldn't hurt anyone, knew the basics of self defense.

She watched for a short time before picking up the large sword and moving over to where he hacked at the dummy. Her voice was calm, no clear challenge in her voice as she spoke. It would be better against a real opponent. Adelle wasn't yet ranked as an adult, but she had followed the warrior's ceremony and won her first battle. She was one, and she knew what she was doing. Her hand wrapped around her sword, ready to block the first blow that came her way.
