In some way, it was refreshing to hear that Savina had at least some idea what Ryan was facing. Though she had never had a friend before, nor knew what it truly meant to have one, Ryan hoped that some sort of bond would form with this Italian girl. She wanted a type of replacement for her mother, and didn’t realize that all she really needed was a loyal friend.
"I wasn’t really looking for him," Ryan told Savina. In fact, she didn’t really think she would ever discover his whereabouts. "My mother and I never lived in one place for long, we always traveled. After she died, I just kept going. It only seemed natural. I didn’t really expect to find him. I just… did." She offered a thin smile, before deciding to ask Savina about her father. "Did you ever find him? You’re dad, I mean."
