Big GrinD tem's in optime form!

Teme Lupus is by Alaine!

Ink was gone and it was such an unexpected, hurtful thing to do that Temeraire believed he was in shock. He'd never been in shock before and didn't know what it felt like, but he was certainly shocked about his friends departure. He knew, however, that there was little he could have done. When he'd met the boy, he'd been looking for information for his father and he supposed that it was too much like settling down, moving to a pack and setting up roots here. Sura had gone with him it seemed, a loss that Temeraire didn't feel half as bad about as Ink's. Upset as he was, the boy tried not to let it get him down. He never knew, he might be able to find him, or he may see him again some day. Trying to be optimistic, however, had been abandoned in the horrible weather. It had been brewing for days, this storm, and Temeraire had tried his best to remain active in the onslaught of rain.

He'd been to see his new brothers and sister twice already and he had to admit that he liked them. They were quite cute, at only a few days old. Seeing Lilin had, as always, been a little awkward but the boy was used to it by now. Instead, he'd swung by with an offering of rabbits he'd caught that morning and hoped that they would be able to have a civilised conversation. They seemed to have managed it, if even for a few moments, before Teme was off again. Waking this morning he'd notice immediately that the storm was getting worse. The earthen tracks that snaked through Jordheim had turned into sludgy mud slides that he'd taken to on his belly with vigour in the rain. When that had grown old, he'd attempted a bit of a patrol. The wind and rain were too great and he'd returned to Jordheim, spirits dampened.

It was here that his father and Oak had found him and he'd been more than happy to help with the horses. Poor Helexia was likely terrified- she'd never been in a storm before. Come to think of it, neither had Temeraire. The thunder and lightening that cracked through the sky sent a thrill of adrenaline through his body however, instead of scaring him. It was exhilarating and the boy couldn't keep the grin off his face as he moved towards the stables with the group assembled. When they arrived, the horses were already freaking out. The doors and shutters were banging open and closed, creaking a racket to add to the wind, rain and thunder that would become a confusion of sound for their equine companions.

Oak was quick to take control, his order was taken with a nod from the boy. He had the same idea as Oak and followed the red male towards the barn, where there was a few good piles of spare wood that had been kept dry in there. As Oak had done, Temeraire picked up a pile of wood in his arms and half ran back to the stables with wood in tow. It was pouring rain out there, but the horses were terrified. Depositing his load by the window closest to him, Teme moved to try and find a hammer and some nails to help nail down the windows.
