Teme Lupus is by Alaine!

Despite the rain and the wind, he heard Niernan's approach and was grateful for his Uncle's help. He hadn't interacted much with the donkey, but knew he was stubborn. Moving closer, Temeraire could see the dark creature was scared. It was braced- rump pressed against the trunk of a tree and front legs pushed out at an odd angle from his body. As he approached, Aniki looked up, startled but apparently relieved that he hadn't been completely abandoned. The boy stopped and waited for Niernan to catch up, white-rimmed ears flickering forward and then back as he caught Niernan's words. It made sense and Temeraire hoped his Uncle knew the donkey well enough to give an accurate guess as to what he'd do.

Let's try it then, shall we? He called out to the male, before turning back and clicking his tongue loudly to catch the donkey's attention. Despite the wind and rain howling around them, the donkey perked its large ears up and gave a harsh bray. Shooting a smile at his Uncle, the boy moved forward, his arm outstretched to touch the donkey's rump. After a jump from the animal, he seemed to recognise that they were here to help and managed to move himself forward, his rump coming unstuck from the tree trunk. Taking a deep breath, he turned around and replaced his hand as Niernan asked about Jericho. His ears betrayed the slight hurt, turning horizontally for a moment, before he answered.

Ink left a little while ago and took Jerri with him. We won't need to look for her... He had to speak loudly over the noise of the rain, but there was a quietness to him that said he was missing his friend. With a shrug, the male moved forward, one hand still coaxing and comforting the donkey. It didn't take them long to emerge from the trees and the stables came into view. Not long now, buddy. He soothed as Aniki gave another bray of fear. It would be relatively easy to get the donkey into the stables and then they'd be able to board it up and finish with some sandbags to avoid flooding.
