and you hold your head up high in the middle of a fight

AGAIN she returned, surprised by the fact that her homeland once more filled her vision. It seemed however weary her feet would grow and however badly her legs would ache and however tired her mind would become, Talitha Lykoi would forever be able to find her way home. Home to the tall grasses and the crevices she had explored in her youth. Her youth, which had possessed her merely months ago, and now seemed like an eternity. Her youth, her innocent, innocent youth.

SHAKING her head and blinking back tears of frustration and memory, the German Shepherd-esque female, a near replica of her almighty father, continued through to the borders which she had once felt so safe inside. The search for her mother had been futile, though in the back of her mind she suspected that the search had never been one for her mother at all, but perhaps more to find her own identity, something that she felt had been robbed of her. Whether this search had been futile not she was still not certain, but she did know that she was ready to end her efforts at pity and attempt to strengthen herself--mentally and physically.

SHE arrived in the night, and in the moonlight a small puddle shown on the ground. Afraid of what she might find, Talitha dragged herself toward it and bravely placed her face over it, prepared for whatever might reflect back at her. Indeed, a pitiful looking creature whose tired eyes and torn pads made her seem far beyond her age looked up from the puddle, sad and weary in her appearance. Talitha was ready to leave this image behind, she would leave it behind. But it would take time. Time, time, time. And now, more time would pass as she waited expectantly in the shadows of the night for someone to rescue her from her own self pity.
