His intention was not to visit, so he stayed along the borders, making sure Deuce’s scent did not become stronger. He could not face her, not yet at least, after what he had said to her. His nerves had calmed somewhat, and it was now time for curiosity to enter the stage and drive him crazy. The puppies had moved when he had placed his hand on their mother’s belly, that had to be some sort of sign, right? The brown brute did not believe in signs and silly things usually, but his mind had exploded and brought rays of sunshine, rainclouds and silliness into his system. He knew he should turn his back to it all and leave Deuce to raise her children alone, but he was not sure if he would be able to stay away. Haku had decided to at least go and take a look once the litter was born. That was the least he could do, just to see how they would look like, and his mind wondered if any of them would look like Colibri Haki.
With a restless body, the male traced the north-eastern border of Phoenix Valley, unable to break off and leave. Hopefully some member unknown to him would come soon and attempt to chase him away. What he needed now was to get rid of some steam.
