He decided not to look back and ran with any and all of the energy his body had stored up within his muscles. He knew he would be able to cover significantly more ground if he would have shifted, but he still didn’t want to take the chance. If Hybrid happened to catch up, there would be no one to save the young boy.

After awhile, Apollo slowed his pace and dared to glance behind him. He couldn’t see the coyote anymore, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t still being chased. With his chest heaving, he looked around to try and gain his bearings. He hadn’t really ran too much with a destination in mind, but he noted now that somehow he had managed to loop around and lead them towards Crimson Dreams. Apollo could tell that he now rested somewhere within Shiloh Hills. Just as he turned to find his enemy, an eerie call ripped through the air.

It was Hybrid. He had won this battle, but the war wasn’t over yet. Should they meet again… well, Apollo hoped they wouldn’t.
