bit by bit torn apart, we never win

Chaos reached higher levels, and it did not take many moments before his emerald eyed mate was in his face, twisted with disapproval of his arrival. Even though his focus was on her and what she said and did, the other Dahlia members' actions did not go unnoticed. There were few things that would have stung as much as that. The two females completely blocked out the view of whatever living children there were left, and a dead one had been dropped in front of him by the enraged mother of his children. He took a step back, and his eyes swiftly ran across the room, meeting the eye of every canine that had had turned their attention to what was happening. Firefly's harsh words had entered his ears, but he had not needed to make any sense of them to get what she was saying. Every back was turned at him, and every door shut. With a swift movement yet so careful as if the dead child was still alive, he picked the pinkish gray figure up from the floor and turned around with a last glance that revealed to them all that they had hit jackpot. Haku's heart had officially been ripped open, and in that small moment, he had not been able to hide the pain.

He left the cottage behind and headed for the old graveyard. He made sure not to be too close to the pack border when he picked a decent spot for the child's grave. A small angel in the form of a human child with wings gazed down with eyes full of sorrow as he filled up the small hole where the small child would rest for all eternity. He was a monster, true, but not the one they believed he was.
