For Jazper and Garnet! 300+
Simon had wondered into Haven Mansion. He had been avoiding it for the most part since he had come to Crimson Dreams. It was for a silly reason too. To Simon, Haven Mansion looked so majestic and huge, he automatically assumed it had to be the castle for the royal family. It turned out that the royal family didn't live here at all! He had learned that Mati and her family stayed in a network of caves not too far from the Mansion. The royal family did spend a lot of time here though. He could smell them all around. He smelled Haven and Naniko the most. He wondered where Mati liked to spend her time the best. He'd love to go exploring there with her.
Mati's knight was here for a purpose though. He was looking for Jazper, and he knew that the big wolf lived here. Simon had been one busy little bee since he had arrived. He had spent a lot of his time with the Knight and protector of the kingdom. And when he was not with Mati, Simon practiced scouting and tackling invisible assailants. He filled his time quite well. But today Simon had a question for Jazper that had more to do with boy things than knight things.
He couldn't get the image of Mati in the snow fort out of his head. He had been having a really good time, even though he couldn't quite look the princess in the face. His face had felt hot and his heart had pounded. Everything had been going great until Prince Haven had decided to barge into their fort. He hated to admit it, but he thought the prince was kind of cool. Even if he was annoying.
The sandy pup ascended the stairs, his big paws making thumping sounds as he went. He could smell that Jazper had been here recently. He walked down the hallway, sniffing at the ground like a blood hound. It wasn't really necessary for him to do that; he had spent so much time with the big Knight that he knew his scent well enough. Simon wanted to keep his training in mind, though. He was learning that tracking scents was very important. When he came to the door where Jazper slept, he sat down and scratched at it with his paws. Hopefully Jazper would be there to answer it soon.
