The break of dawn shattered its honey golden light over the lands through sparse traveling clouds, stirring awake both creature and terrain. Temperature was in the mid-forties, slowly rising as the day progressed forth, but of course not enough heat to where the grounds of fresh powdered snow would melt entirely from the previous week of flurries and snow. The call of distant birds twitched a fine ebony ear, raised from its slumber against the soft plane of the female's skull. Exhausted silver eyes slowly opened, at first squinting and hurting from the piercing light of the day. She did not know at what point she fell asleep, but she definitely knew one thing as to why she decided to crash early the previous night: long overhaul of travels. Her paws would be considerably sore in the days, perhaps weeks to come; not something that would disappear over night with a considerable amount of sleep, there had been too much wear and tear made on this perilous journey to this point. Still, the female wasn't one to complain in the midst of sore appendages. At least she was finally able to get a sound sleep through the night, a step forward in reassurance of belonging once again to something that had seemed forgotten or perhaps even impossible to reach again.

Shrouded in her Lupus form, the dark ball of fur recoiled from its snug state curled up as a ball amongst a dry spot underneath a tree she happened to dig out the night before. Snow cushioned all around her. Slumber came swift for her, as the contact of her dugout instantly put her in a spell of sleep for the rest of the night; Caliber was indeed exhausted. The frost of the morning decorated her fine black coat with crystalline droplets, caught sparkling in the sun's rays. Sinewy forelimbs stretched to their breaking points, and a drawn out wolf yawn escaped her jaws. Giving a quick shake of her head, the Craven rose to her four paws. Wincing slightly, the pain of travels was a pain to mildly tolerate for quite sometime now. But you won't have to worry about the pain lingering for much longer, you've finally found a place to call your home... Giving a full body shake now, the rush of morning air filled her lungs, giving her zest to look forward to the coming day ahead. With that, a small smile of reassurance and pleasure stretched the corners of her black maw, grateful to see that at least this morning was a morning to where she could wake up to recognizable lands.

She could feel there was something rather different about these lands. Something that was on an entirely different wavelength. The leader whom accepted her along with Catherine at the borders spoke about divine spirits that lingered in these lands. Spirits that either made themselves invisible or known. Caliber had been anxious to see something jump out at her last night, give her an invisible tap or even a not so nice scare, but didn't see or hear anything. As far as feeling went, there definitely was something, but that feeling was something Caliber couldn't put a paw on. She fell asleep last night with the last thought of how the spirits would be able to reach out to her. The leader, whom didn't address her name, said that they worked on their own terms, and it could take time, or perhaps none at all. Caliber however did want a spirit to make contact, whether it was her own or something else. This was the guidance she needed for a life long spent in confusion and coping. She felt she needed something like the spirits more than ever now.

Seeing as she was now fully awake, the three year old began to trod in the snow, leaving apparent tracks behind and heading more inland through AniWaya. Today was a new day, a new beginning. Much to explore, much to learn. These tribal lands seemed so vast that Caliber really didn't know where to start. So many new smells tingled her nose, scents and aromas alike, as well as new sights, new calls, new customs. As much as her paws ached from traveling, her inner spirit and enthusiasm pushed her forward to continue walking forth. Simple aches couldn't be worried about now, there was much to get done. Not for the fact that she was aimlessly walking, but now walking about for a purpose. To accustom to her new home, her new life. Today would be the start of that accustom, and as Caliber began walking in her darkly coated silence, silver eyes roving in curiosity and interest among the land, she could only wonder what new concepts and new lessons could be able to stimulate her mind and senses.
