Deuce and Taliesin sat close together, near Coli. Deuce had commented to her son about Coli's seeming improvement of self confidence. The girl needed it after what her father had put her through. Deuce was in her two-legged form now that Willow was wandering more. It gave her greater mobility, and better agility should Willow find herself in a situation that was unpleasant. Deuce's bi-colored eyes wandered, settling onto Firefly. She had heard the woman had finally met her stepdaughter, though Willow wouldn't tell much more than that.
Deuce's eyes glanced around, settling briefly on haku. Now that she knew the truth of him, did she view him differently? he was still Haku, still handsome as ever. But now she saw the darkness underneath, where before she had seen only good. He had warned her, she supposed. After all, their first meeting hadn't exactly been...well, unforced. Her eyes flitted away, returning to the leader, glancing to the wolves of whom she spoke. She gave a congratulatory smile to each, her eyes darting away to seek out the small brown and cream form of her daughter.
