You've got nothing to prove, stay afraid

“Oh,” he said once more. He attempted a friendly smile, but he suspected the resulting appearance was the opposite of the intended. “We only have two-eyed murderous assholes here,” he replied with a small shrug. Hybrid was tempted to continue the thought and add his own first-hand experience of the sort. After all, he could easily be one of these 'murderous assholes' the child claimed to know, but unfortunately for the boy and fortunately for Hybrid, he had both his eyes in tact. He very much liked his eyes. They were the colour of dried blood. Like a scab or a wound. How poetic.

Thought he might be around here. The little bastard. Hybrid eyed the child as he continued to speak, smirking slightly. He was a haughty little shithead, wasn't he? Hybrid grinned. This time, it worked. His fangs were bared and his lips were drawn back (in amusement). “Looks like you're out of luck,” he commented, but said nothing else. Hybrid had exchanged words with far more foul creatures. He'd even had sex with them. The child was still probably shouting dangnabbit! and fiddlesticks! in his head. Hybrid's grin widened. A poor, lost child with nowhere to go.
