It wasn’t officially spring yet, but there were bouts when the weather seemed to sway towards the better (reflecting what was to come) only to fall back towards the harsh. Today seemed to be one of those tease days, showering the land beneath the Halcyons and consequentially, Ryan, in warm spring rain. The young mother had left little Valkyrie in their den, the girl having been tired after a morning playing outside and needing a nap. Ryan had taken the time to stroll in the dusk light, letting the rain water soak her rust colored coat.

She settled down on a rotting log, taking a deep breath as she thought about the events that had come to past within the last week. Gabriel had given Ryan important advice and the young woman knew she needed to follow it. She was frightened, but knew there would be no way around it. She needed to tell him.
The showers had turned from a sprinkle, to a drizzle, and now to what seemed to be a light mist. It gave Inferni’s scenery a sense of mystery, but mostly a sense of apprehension: a fear in the unknown that could easily be lingering in the darkness of that mist.
