bottom of the bottle
#1
Firefly had been quite bored with doing nothing as of lately, it seemed that the whole of the pack was avoiding her and she actually didn't have much of a problem with that. The once Acer of Dahlia de Mai had decided to investigate the winery once more, it having been moons since she'd even stepped foot inside the old buildings. The woman had found some dusty bottles of old vintage and had decided that even though she was in more trouble than anyone else in the pack she hadn't been told she couldn't drown her boredom and perhaps find something interesting in the bottom of the bottles.

The Sadira woman had taken the bottles out of the crate and made her way to the small patio where old iron tables and chairs sat. She stared out across the vineyards where the leaves were just beginning to show on the gnarled vines. Firefly hadn't seen anyone from the pack in a few days though she'd learned that Cercelee had taken in one of her cousin's abandoned children. She found it amusing and slightly satisfying that the packleader was stuck with her own litter now, hopefully meaning that she wouldn't be up Firefly's ass about her own children, one who was still missing.

Firefly's ears flicked back at the thought of her missing son and she sighed, leaning against the rail to the patio she took a swig from one of the bottles before crossing her wrists over the border and letting her mind wander. She'd went back to Phoenix Valley to try and find Conor but had no luck, she'd been able to trace his scent halfway through the dampwoods and then it had been lost in the rains. She knew it was almost hopeless to believe that he was alive but he was a Sadira and her child and she failed to just abandon him even if that meant living an illusion. She lowered her head and just losed her eyes as she savored the bittersweet flavor of the wine on her tongue.
