nowhere to go

Little Oceane waddled her way back across the sticks and logs that the beavers had so cleverly pieced together to form her own personal bridge from one side of the river to the next. She so wished that Noir hadn't decided to tag along when she'd issued her the challenge, it would have made things so much simpler and she would have been able to escape without having to worry, that was, until she returned home and found that Noir had infact tattled about what she'd done. No, instead she was having to maneuver her way back across the mass she'd just returned from to save the chubby rump of her kid sister.

When she finally reached the small tan form that was curled up cowering in a lump in the middle of the damn she nosed her as she whimpered and moaned. The one word that came out of her maw made Oceane shake her head in disgust as she informed her tiny sister words there were probably going to come as a disappointment. "Mommy's not here to save you sis. Now get up!" Oceane never stopped to think for a moment what would happen if either of them slipped from their place upon the damn slick branches of the dam but she had more important things to do anyways, though those had all been laid aside for the moment to save her silly pathetic sibling who seemed to know how to ruin her fun.
