nowhere to go

Oceane sat by idly with her ears pinned back against her skull in guilt a a small whine rose from her throat. She knew that she was going to be in big trouble when her mother realized just how Noir had ended up out in the middle of the river on their little dam bridge. Her unhappy eyes watched as their mommy dove into the cold waters and began to swim over to where Noir was clinging fast to the branches and twigs that were the making of the beaver's home. Oceane oddly enough was also hoping that the Beavers had abandoned it long ago since it was definitely getting a good beating by the wolf family today.

Her eyes seemed to brighten as Tayui made it to where Noir was and she realized that with their mother there Noir was slowly trying to move closer and closer to the comforts that only a parent could bring. She lifted herself up off the ground as she tried to make certain that Noir was going to be okay. It was hard to tell though since now being on the side of the river again her sister was quite a distance away. Guilt flushed through her again as she was reminded that Noir wouldn't be in this situation if she hadn't pushed her into thinking she had to follow her across.
