Alexey watched the Infernian intently; her gaze coming in contact with his bi-colored orbs. They weren’t like anything she’d seen before. He intrigued her. “You don’t know?” she repeated, slightly baffled by his answer. Surely there was something wrong with him. How could he not know where he was?
The borders were clearly defined; even the pups were able to locate them. If mere children understood the difference between home and lands, why was it that this stranger couldn’t do the same? Alexey was about to speak when tears started gathering in the corners of his eyes. For a brief moment, she saw Conor instead of him. They were alike in so many ways. The Caregiver could only hope her protégé wouldn’t turn out to be like the male standing before her. “Yes, these lands belong to Dahlia de Mai. Not the best place to be picking flowers.” she said, narrowing her eyes skeptically. “Who are you?”
