Tokyo hadn't wandered too much into the more human areas of the coast before today, preferring to stick to the southeast, where the spring drained into the ocean. She had spent many years of wandering, but by necessity, not choice. Now that she was actually allowed to stay in one area and in fact encouraged to stay within her packland, she had very little motivation to do otherwise. The stability of being part of a pack was really amazing. She should have tried something like it earlier, although with or without a pack she had had Champ to take care of her.

But for the first time in a couple weeks, she had decided to trek further along the coastline. It was worth exploring all of the packlands, eventually, since it was all territory that basically belonged to her. But she cared mostly about the coast, so it was her highest priority. This place was interesting. Humans built weird things. Like this wooden platform, sticking out into the ocean. What was the point of it? Well, it was sort of a pretty thing, sticking out a bit into the ocean like it did.

There was someone too, there, at the end of it. Sitting with her feet dipping into the ocean, which she supposed was an alright function of this wood thing as well. The stranger hopped off the dock, into the water, and Tokyo wandered in her direction. She was sort of feeling sociable. Coming from a more southern bit of beach, the lighter female waded directly over through the shallows instead of clambering across the dock. No, this wasn't exactly a stranger - she was one of the many who had been at the pack meeting. "Oy, hello there!" It was good for Tokyo's mood for her to be exposed so long to the ocean. It made her almost seem like a decent, friendly wolf.
