Her full attention revolved around the rainbow trout occasionally rubbing itself against her legs. It was acting strange, almost playful. Alexey had never seen a fish act that way before, but it was indeed amusing to watch. Seafood had never appealed to her, hence why she did not feel compelled to try and catch it. She’d tried eating fish before and needless to say, she hadn’t been too impressed. Avoiding the scales and bones was a tedious task to begin with. By the time she’d been done tearing it apart, there hadn’t been much left to eat. Fish were better left in the water where they belonged.

One of her paws reached out to stroke the fish’s side, curious as to what it felt like. It was viscous to say the least. Although the feeling was a little bizarre, she didn’t find it disgusting. Perhaps it had to do with its appearance. After all, something as cute as a rainbow trout couldn’t be deemed disgusting. Had it been an eel of some sort, then it would’ve been different. Movement to the right caught her attention, and both of her ears perked up. Her little friend must’ve sensed it too because he darted away, disappearing into shallow waters.

A voice called out a greeting, and Lexey turned to face the female. She recognized her instantly, assuming that this woman was indeed the famous Tokyo Chance. Amber-colored eyes scanned the female’s features for any resemblances to Princess, and she found quite a few. “Hey! Tokyo Chance, right? Have you seen Princess yet?”she asked with a smile. She sure seemed in a good mood, perhaps the dreaded mother-daughter reunion had gone well! Her eyes scanned the territory for any sign of her packmate’s daughter. None so far. Where was the young one?
