It was no longer just a game. It was another world. It was a place that Anu wanted to retreat too, where Hemming was she only companion and they found things and places that never existed in the outside world. It was where things made of sticks and string cam to life, whose wellbeing was held to the same standard as their own. Anu worried and care for the kite, not just because Hemming had made it, but because she had once held it as it flew. She had once been the one to keep it alive and within the bouderies of the odd little world. Now it sought to be free, but its plan was foiled and it needed their help.

Had the jellyfish looked for such freedom too? Had it wished to walk upon the beach with the rest of the earthen creatures? But it had gotten stranded, and the two wolves had to come to its rescue. Now it was the kit’s turn, venture out and becoming tangled with the nearest tree. The braches held it steady as the wind teased and temped its wings. Anu looked upwards, and then back to the male.

“Do you want me to go up?” The lean fey returned her gaze to the tree that held their charge.
