Adrenaline pushed him forward, serving to further fuel his rage as each second ticked by. It was a feeling he seldom experienced, though it was more familiar to him than this dance of war. The Marino hadn’t felt this much anger boiling within him since he last thought of Serge, the disgraceful wolf he would never call Father. Part of him embraced the rage and this scuffle, and it wanted to grin as Ehno’s claws made a quick connection to the trespasser’s face. The Sergeant ignored it though, instead choosing to focus his rage toward his opponent’s retaliation.

For one foolish moment, his eyes only regarded his opponent’s claws coming straight for his face. The Sergeant began to dodge to the right in an attempt to avoid the rake of those claws, realizing a moment too late that it left his shoulder wide open. The gravity of this mistake only hit him when he felt the cutting pressure of his opponent’s teeth into his shoulder. Ehno snarled, a noise of both surprise and pain. Mentally he reprimanded himself for his mistake, but he knew he couldn’t afford to let the boy keep his hold for long. He pushed forward, trying to knock the lanky brute off balance. At the same time he swiped at the enemy’s side with his right paw. It was mostly an attempt to distract the intruder, to give Ehno a chance to find an opening while his opponent’s attention was split. He wouldn’t be able to focus on striking back with the young hybrid latched onto his shoulder.
