        A look crossed her face suggesting distrust as she began to groom her knife and pelt, followed by an outright glare at his casual comment. Obviously, he hadn't meant to offend her, not knowing she was sensitive about her diminutive stature that he was not even aware yet was unusual. He stepped back in confusion as harsh words erupted forth from her maw, unsure what he'd said that had been taken wrongly by the girl. "What?" he uttered, a puzzled look apparent on his features. "I simply meant a whale was an interesting place to look for weapons—that is all," Jael replied, attempting to make amends with the creature. "You could use an elk or a deer for bones, but you're going all out with it. I apologize if something I said offended you," he finished, utterly thrown off by what had just transpired.
