Oceane had no clue what had possessed her to travel so far from the tribe lands or even to come so close to the clan's grounds. The small girl had once more traveled with her small nestlings of fire and upon reaching the long stretch of bare beach with the white bleached driftwood thrown too and fro on the coast she'd followed the advice of Ethador and had begun to gather twigs, sticks, limbs and larger pieces of the dried out wood. The long limbed ocelot had helped her as well and he'd sat by guarding the basket of embers while Oceane had set off to find some dry beds of grass and weeds to use as started.

It hadn't been long before she'd stumbled upon the nesting grounds of a flock of sea birds that had long since abandoned the nests. Believing that this was just as good as any other firestarter she might find the young lady pulled the bandanna off her neck and laid it out to pile the nests in. Picking up the open ends of the cloth in her teeth she lifted up the slight weight of the nests and went back in search of their resting spot on the beach. The sun was beginning to go down and Oceane knew that Ethador and her needed to start their fire before it got to cold or they would be quite sad indeed. Hurrying over the last rise she spied her spotted pyromaniac friend building up the house for the nests to rest in.

Oceane wagged her tail and quickly joined the ocelot there on the beach where she displayed the few tightly woven nests and begun to paw one carefully into the hollow of the stand that Ethador had created. Tipping over the basket of coals she scooted the hot embers over next to the nest and quickly let the nest settle onto the hot coal, breathing gently on the nest, the smoke beginning to pour and the tiny glow of light from the ember burning brighter. Pushing another nest next to the first she angled in some more coals and watched as Ethador assisted this time in bringing life to the fire. She closed her eyes in a display of contentment at their teamwork while a soft purr rose from the feline. Soon the small flames were licking through the nests and teasing at the wood above and the two companions were lounging beside the flames, waiting for them to grow stronger.
