ooc: Addison was caught by a coyote named Halo and was tied down--Halo had been starving a bunch of rats, and she let them loose on Addi :x

The last time that she had come this direction, things hadn't been pretty.

White-socked paws made small marks in the dust as the dark timberwolf walked, her feet stirring up debris as she went. There were odd things in this place, strange shiny pieces of plastic that were all crinkled up all over the place. Candy wrappers. She stepped through them, trying to part them so that she wouldn't have to actually step on one of them. They felt strange beneath her paws when she did trod over a corner. She had once been an adventurous pup who'd dared to laugh in the face of danger...but she'd learned from her last lesson. The last time that she had ventured out of Phoenix Valley to travel to the city she had been captured and tortured by Halo and her cage of rats. Even the thought of the rats made her shudder now.

It hadn't stopped her wanderings completely, though. She doubted that anything could have that kind of control over her; three days of being cooped up inside the house wrapped up in bandages had been enough healing time for her! The young adult was used to doing what she wanted, when she wanted. And she defintely hadn't wanted to stay in Phoenix Valley. She just had to be more careful with who she spoke to now...and try to run away if the situation got too big for her to handle. The blue-and-yellow eyed wolf wore a few bandages still, over the deeper cuts, but most of the gnawed portions skin was pink and healing. There was some marks on her legs, back, stomach, chest, and she side of her face.

Addison glanced up at the darkening sky as she made her way out of the city and back toward the forested area. It looked like it was going to rain, and she didn't want to get caught up in it. She had spent a little time in the city...and that was enough for now. She'd just needed some time away from the packlands and Jefferson for a bit. The unshifted, medium-sized wolf sighed as she came to the river that flowed out of the city and into Phoenix Valley, beginning to follow it back home.

The sounds of the river and the ever-changing wind kept her from hearing or smelling the male where he stood, but she saw him soon enough. Untrustingly she backed a few feet away, trying to disappear into the brush. Maybe she could just pass on by him and he wouldn't even notice. He had odd coloration, which made her even more wary; what sort of a place had he come from? Addison was fairly average looking, mixtures of browns, creams, darker browns, and dark reds. The only odd thing about her was her eyes; one blue and one yellow. But they seemed normal to her. Her mother and grandmother had shared the same oddly colored gaze.

She kept to the brush, keeping her head ducked as she began to walk around him.
