From their body language it was clear that the two males lead very different lives. Haven was a Knight, but he didn't go out looking for fights or expecting them at every turn. He trained and was prepared to defend his pack at a moment's notice. He had never encountered hostility out own his own in the world however. Somewhere in the back of his mind, Haven knew that such things happened, but he had never imagined it happening to him. The hybrid thought he was a pretty pleasant and nonabrasive guy and couldn't imagine getting anyone so upset that they would want to attack him.

It was good to hear that the coyote understood his sour mood, but the words that were spoken next made the Aatte's muscles tense ever so slightly. He knew this male's name: Ezekiel. This was the clan member that Siobhan had lived with before she had left Inferni to come live with him. It seemed that the albino coy's fear of her once dear friend had been warranted as Ezekiel clearly still held a good deal of resentment about the matter. This didn't put Haven off though. Siobhan had now betrayed him as well, and he could understand Ezekiel's anger. "It seems that's a habit of her's, for we're talking about the same bitch." The Cour des Miracles member had no idea that the anger the coyote held would be redirected onto him. It didn't seem like a logical thing to happen, so he didn't think it would.
