OM NOM NOM.

The hybrid woman's heart flared as she ran, the scents and sounds of her clanmates surrounding her. Their paws pounded in her ears, and every now and again her fur would brush up against one of her fellows, goading her to run faster and harder. That wolf's scent was caught in her throat, fire burning behind her single eye as she saw him up ahead of her. There was a sound and a great thundering of bodies against the ground, and Gabriel had the wolf on the ground. There was a sudden surge around her as the clan saw this and leapt forward, each of them eager to take their vengeance in the form of this trespasser's blood.

Anselm was there before the rest of them, snarling and growling threats at the wolf. The hybrid woman was there in an instant at his side, swarming around to the wolf's other side to box him in. There was no escaping this; the coyotes were swift and exact in their vengeance. Anselm had taken a grip on the wolf's other leg, but in the moments it had taken Kaena to approach he had allowed that grip to slacken, and the wolf was trying to get away now, his fourth leg useless and crippled, held above the ground. In a moment, Mason was there, and Kaena trailed just behind him as he charged the wolf, keeping close to the younger coyote. She didn't really approve of his contribution to the attack, but he was a full-fledged clan member and he ought to at least be present. Either way, the bloodlust had driven her beyond the ability to admonish, so she remained close.

The instant Mason's cry of pain reached her ears, there was a blood-curling growl from the woman, sharp and loud as a crack of thunder. Immediately the silvery hybrid was on him, her pale chest against his shoulder and her teeth finding his scruff, those fangs digging in sharply. This was no motherly grip; Kaena had taken a large chunk of his flesh and fur into her mouth, roughly yanking the pale wolf to the ground. It did not take much effort; the pain and loss of limb had severely damaged the wolf's ability to balance. Releasing him, she rounded and snapped at his face, her yellowed fangs slicing through his face, crossing his eye and digging deep into his cheek. "Touch him again," she dared him, snarling the words through her teeth, placing herself squarely between the downed wolf and Mason, her sun-yellow eye glaring threats at the trespasser's soul.
