As the alcohol began do take hold of the Centurion, there was a more familiar emotion creeping into her. Rage. It was so much more useful than the empty sadness that had filled the hybrid woman moments prior; in the days since her ordeal she had varied wildly between steaming fucking mad, hollowed-out sad; desperately lonely, and utterly glad there was no one else around to experience her misery. The coyote woman hadn't so much as spoken to a soul in the week, two weeks—how long had it been anyway? Kaena couldn't even tell anymore. She was thoroughly intoxicated, just on the brink of wasted—the hybrid had drank lightly through most of the day to keep herself level, but now that the sun was sinking, all bets were off.

There was a surprise at her side, and the hybrid woman could not help but jump at the presence, shrinking back just a bit and composing herself sloppily, as quickly as she could in her state. Anselm was in good spirits, it seemed, and a sweet, musky scent emanating from him told Kaena all she needed to know. Her yellow-gold eye widened and she nodded, eager to add to the chemical already swirling through her head. "Sounds like a plan," she said, her words already slurring. She tried a grin on her muzzle, and found it did not fit, dropping it immediately. "Oh? Happy birthday," she said, trying her best to sound enthused. It simply would not come. The hybrid glossed over the questioning look and instead lifted the jar to him. "Got anything to put it in?" the hybrid asked.
