[M] a vampire in the devil town.

Although he liked to see Kaena laugh, he got the distinct impression that this sort of behavior was out of character for her on a normal day. Frowning beneath the wolf skull, Mason's golden gaze traveled across the others who were gathered there. They all seemed a bit loosened up. He recalled the last time he had seen his clan together. They had been very serious - but dealing with a trespasser was serious business. Even so, this contrast was a little confusing for him. He did not know what to make of this situation. He was not uncomfortable, but he did not know his place in these events.

There were strange scents in the air. One of them was sickly sweet, and the other was distinctly unpleasant. He wrinkled his nose, this time decisively backing away from the group of canids acting strangely. The teeth of the skull clinked against the floor as he dragged himself to be closer to the doorway. His lungs burned just a little bit, and he decided that he did not find one of those smells pleasant.

Gabriel appeared, and Mason moved to be nearer to him. He seemed to be a bit put off by these events, and that was something that the Tirones Minor could relate to. There was another male - one that Mason had never seen before. He turned his head slightly and his yellow eyes shone from within the empty eye sockets. He wanted to ask the man's name, but something about his mien hushed him. Instead the boy would watch and wait for the events to unfold. He didn't know if he wanted to be involved in anything, even a conversation.
