Her eyes were torn away from the female of the pair, the male kneeling down and edging closer. He was still a distance away but she did not feel comfortable with a large male looming over her. Her ears hit the back of her head quietly as she stared up at him, shuffling backward slowly. It may not have been taught to her yet but perhaps it was instinct to slink away from the male gender. Maybe it had been why she was so willing to go along with Zaramama when she found them. Emma had even been reluctant to go with Hemming but the coyote woman had assured her it was all right and they would be taken care of. Physically, they were, but she felt there was something missing, something only her family could provide in addition to the stimulation she needed to learn and advance. She was simply set aside to her own accord.
"My papa," she said with an Italian accent. Her blue eyes focused on the grey male mainly, since he had spoken to her in question form. The female, and younger of the two, remained silent. "I don't... know..." she trailed off and tried to think of what to say but found it difficult to come up with anything. "Wh-where he is," she finished, her words fumbling on her tongue as she struggled, unable to come up with the words soon enough. She didn't get to practice her speech all the time after spending a lot of time on her own but she managed, mainly because she never met anyone new when she was off on her own.
