Can this be backdated to the 17th or somewheres? :3

He knew he should have been able to shift by now. It was just a matter of getting around to learning, of getting someone to teach him. Gabriel and Faolin were the obvious choices, but as much as he liked and respected each of them and was sure that they cared about him in their own way, he never felt like he should be entitled to bother them or demand things from them. Sometimes he thought it would be a particularly interesting idea to experiment on his own, just to see if he could do it. But the idea that maybe that was a dangerous idea had also struck him and the child had never really been one to do something for the sake of it. And anyway, it wasn't like there was any real rush, right? He had all the time in the world to stand on two feet and be an adult that way.

In the meantime, opening doors in buildings was difficult for him, but thankfully, in an abandoned city, most such things were either already opened or broken down entirely. The store he was in had rotted food and cardboard boxes scattered all over the place and smelled rather horribly. But he put up with it because it was a quicker path to the meeting place he had set up with his sister. Of course he had no way of knowing whether she'd be there on any particular day, but Arkham didn't mind much either way. If she wasn't there, then that would be the excuse to explore the steely graveyard some more on his own.
