Vieira's journey back seemed to take longer than expected. She was carrying more weight than on the way down and it slowed her pace. She found a satchel in a house where she found the blankets and carried the alcohol bottles in that so she did not drop or break any of them. She also have a large blanket that covered the satchel and two others, a small and medium to large sized one in her arms. Unfortunately, a little more than half way there she felt fatigued and didn't think she could carry all the weight. She stopped for a drink and went through her things, trying to decide what to give up. She knew giving up any of the alcohol bottles were not an option, whether or not Kaena would find out, and so Vieira left the large of the two blankets she was carrying in her arms and carried the large one (which was overwhelming a little) and it reduced some of the stress on her shoulders.

Kaena had been pleased with her arrival and Vieira could not have helped a smile on her face. Vieira set to making up a small bed in her room of the cave and setting it up to get into easily should she be on four legs instead of two.

It was dark now and the evening was quiet. Kaena was out and away from the den and she considered curling up in her blankets and dozing off. She knew she needed the rest but she also knew she should be awake for her return, whenever it may be. Astaroth had punished her many times for sleeping without permission. So for now, she went to the mouth of the cave and glanced back and forth for her owner's presence but she saw nothing. However, fire caught her attention and she glanced over, a little surprised. The main fire pit was not lit this morning and this knew one made her curious. With the wind cold on her fur, she stepped out of the mouth of the cave and walked a few yards to see if she recognized the woman. It was not Ava, nor Snake, and so she lingered back for a moment without realizing she could easily be seen.
