If no Lykoi blood was in her then why was she called a Lykoi? There was apparently a complicated web surrounding the girl and Rikka was ignorant to most of it. Rikka watched Vieira intently but not in a scrutinizing manner. She was just wholly and completely perplexed by what she had said. Had she only meant that she was some child of Kaena's and said it in a roundabout way? Surely that had to be it, her mother didn't "own" anyone, it was absurd. Though when the other spoke again she repeated the exact phrasing, but still it wasn't clear to the hybrid. It was too bizarre of a concept for her mind to grapple with. You didn't own others, you just didn't. You may say someone was "your's", about a lover or something, but you didn't mean it literally. Vieira continued talking and spoke of herself as if she had been some sort of parcel or something. What the hell? was the phrase that kept running through her mind. Then when the word "slave" hit her ears it all seemed to click and in that instant a hot flame lit in her chest and she scowled. "Arrived for her? And she accepted you as her slave?" How could her mother have done such a thing? How? There were many things that she and Kaena had never agreed on, but this? This went beyond anything she would have imagined the woman of doing, and to be honest, it infuriated her. "That's not right..." her words were accompanied by a soft growl and her tail flicked in annoyance. "No one is anyone else's property, that's fucked up. How dare anyone think that. How dare they!" Rikka's jaws ground against each other. It appeared that her newly formed bond with her mother was already falling apart. How could Kaena think that such a thing was acceptable? |
