Vieira straightened when she stood and dusted her backside off lightly while taking a few steps back. She decided she needed to be careful when she introduced herself next time. They tried to get her out of her shell but it was not possible, especially not under someone's control. Vieira could live with Ava's reaction, even Snake's, but Rikka's was very strong and she got upset rather easily. It just made her believe further than slavery was not even accepted here. Her eyes scanned for Kaena when the other approached and she apologized. She lingered a moment longer while standing and stared at the floor.

After a moment of silence and stiffly standing in place, she stepped forward again and awkwardly sat back down. Her head turned slightly to glance at Rikka and feeling the warmth of the fire again. While glancing at her feet, she had a realization. What if Rikka told Kaena what she thought? She'd never experienced someone so strongly opinionated against slaves. What if Kaena thought Vieira was complaining? Her ears rested back against her head. "Please don't talk to Kaena about it, miss Rikka," she said quietly, fighting a whimper. She didn't know what kind of punishments Kaena had in mind, if any at all, and she did not want to start now.
